My risk profile has shifted over the years, and I have learned how to understand and talk about risk in a way that is non-judgemental and safe. Part of my risk management is knowledge. I never go into play thinking that I will learn a technique as I go. It is very important to me that I know what I am doing before I get into the room, in order to keep both (or all) of us safe.
