The day I discovered the anon sex worker internet community was life changing. I found a whole underworld full of people who were just like me; voicing all of my silly everyday thoughts related to SW that I had internalised.  It was such a relief and comfort to me that, ever since then I’ve kind of become addicted. Other people have post-work drinks where they gossip with their colleagues, we have Twitter threads where we rant with strangers about our familiar lives.  These are some of my favourite accounts to follow.

Sex Work Memes

If you’re looking for old school, classic memes about sex work this is the one. This Insta Page is a hub of sex work memes that have been collected from all the nooks and crannies of the internet. The posts usually focus around clients and the hilarious hoe life, but are usually accompanied by really detailed and interesting captions that are slightly more serious.

Come on Aileen

Can it get more British Sex Worker than making Coronation Street characters and Gary Barlow in client memes? Discovering this Twittier acc has literally caused me to LOL on otherwise silent tube carriages a handful of times now. It features plenty of very brutal, very accurate descriptions of clients. It’s ran by an anon sex worker who in her bio describes herself as ‘catnip for grandpas’. A national treasure IMO !

Seeking Derangement

A safe space for sugar babies to laugh about their shared experiences of dating entitled and delusional OAPs. This page is full of cheesy (in a good way) sugaring memes and content about sex and women in general. My favourite part of the page are the story highlights- there’s a ‘dates’ one, where the page creator regularly posts updates that details her sugar experiences, plus a ‘safety’ one, and one that shows snippets of conversation with various daddies. It’s a great page for tips or getting a real insight into the world of sugaring.

Exotic Cancer

This one’s a more well known page and rightfully so. Exotic Cancer is a digital artist, using Instagram as a main platform to share her work on. In her distinctive pictures, she explores female lust, patriarchal double standards and reveals the unfiltered reality of life as a sex worker – stripping, sugaring, the lot.  The page is not only super comforting and hilarious, but aesthetically pleasing and imaginative.

Sugar Researcher

Another one for the sugar babes, this account is fairly new and again the stories and highlights are the best part of the page. Sugar Researcher is all about treating sugaring as if it were a real job, so for those of you looking to seriously up your sugar game, there’s plenty of tips and advice. These posts are fully fleshed out on Sugar Researcher’s website, along with interviews with other sugar babes and even a password protected diary- where the tea is spilled.
