Experience & education Kemo draws on their passion for rope and kink to create personalized experiences for the people they connect with. They have been studying rope for 8+ years and consider themself a perpetual student of rope, on top of being an educator. Kemo first took classes locally in the greater Los Angeles area, and later invested in 1-on-1 instruction from leaders in the craft. Today they continue their rope education by frequenting intensives and occasional private lessons, while remaining active in the local rope scene. Kemo can often be found attending rope and kink events, munches and jams. Rope artist & teacher An acclaimed performer, Kemo Burns has showcased their tying skills and participated in panels and interviews on stages across the country. Some notable events include Lightning in a Bottle, The Laugh Factory, Burning Man, DomCon LA & NOLA, multiple sexual health/BDSM summits and countless kinky play parties. Along with their annual workshops at LIB and the Burn, Kemo was a resident rope bondage instructor at Kink Collective OC in Santa Ana, CA throughout 2024. Today they can be found teaching pop-up workshops on topics such as negotiating a rope scene, arms-free harnesses, and rope for couples at local dungeons and collectives. Nik Yourknots is an internationally recognised rope artist and educator. His unique and eclectic style, with a focus on aesthetics and intention, stems from his training in three art institutions across Russia and the United Kingdom, and the teachings of a variety of bondage artists from Europe, America and Asia. As a successful digital designer specialising in user experience, he focuses on using rope to convey emotions to the model and the audience, creating a strong visual message. Nik's versatile work ranges from photo and video to performance and installation art. His interests reach beyond bondage to include poetry, dance, sound and video design, all of which feed into his work as a shibari artist. His work has been published in a number of magazines such as Vogue Italia and Tattoofest Magazine. It has also been featured at festivals and events across the globe. To name a few, London Tattoo Convention (UK), Nowhere Festival (Spain), Shibari Camp (Ukraine), and Bondage Night (China). Nik has been lucky to work with several short film and TV productions, with a highlight of one of the shows produced by HBO.
