I've been in nerdy, kink, and polyamory spaces longer than I've been practicing counselling and psychotherapy. I love learning, and that's helped me connect with different interests and different people. I didn't get my Master's degree in psychotherapy specifically to work with clients in kink spaces, but, I've had it pointed out to me that those in kink spaces are looking for therapists like me: Nerdy, knowledgeable, trauma-informed, and voluntarily following Kink Clinical Practice Guidelines.
If you suspect yourself neurodivergent, we're going to get along. If you have wide and deep interests, doubly so. I'm equally comfortable with clients from Asia as well as the West, and those who consider themselves third culture. If you need to know the modalities I work with, I'm familiar with the "alphabet therapies" (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy) but prefer the trauma classics like Polyvagal Theory and Parts Work (IFS, Transactional Analysis). If you bend towards woo, I know my way around astrology charts, Tarot, and a bit of energy work.
I'm very much all about the nervous system and finding (co)regulation wherever possible.
