Vaginismus can feel isolating, especially when the support available barely scratches the surface. Katrin with Love offers online vaginismus support and mentorship designed to help women move through painful sex and into a more connected, pleasurable relationship with themselves.
Here, she opens up about her journey and the work she now does to guide others through theirs.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Loving. Curious. Deep.
Tell us more about yourself and what you do
Like many women, I was dealt a brutal set of cards in life, including the most excruciating pain I have ever felt, both physically and emotionally: vaginismus.
I grasped onto any information I could find to understand what was happening with my body, and faced countless dead ends, detours, and disappointments.
I avoided doctors, men, and sex for a long time. Eventually, I took matters into my own hands and carved a winding path to complete sexual freedom, which yes, included deeply pleasurable penetrative sex.
My frustration with vaginismus, alongside a growing fascination with its complexity, led me to understand how survival strategies of the mind and subtle protective mechanisms of the body keep us stuck in a cycle of pain.
It became my mission to help others avoid the mistakes I made, so I created the holistic guidance and community I wish I had during my own six-year journey.
My role is to walk with women as they access deep relaxation, rediscover their erotic aliveness, and create the love life they once doubted was possible.
I know that our power is born out of our pain. The sexually liberated woman within you already has the answers. I am simply here to guide you as you walk this path back to yourself and release the protective response of vaginismus for good.

What services do you provide on Sensuali?
I offer the Sexually Liberated Membership for Vaginismus Sisters, an online space that supports women in overcoming painful sex for good.
I also invite members into a deeper layer of work through my Love Without Limitations private mentorship.
What turns you on?
Presence. Play. Purpose. Truth. Emotional intelligence.
A man who knows what he wants, is connected to his purpose, confident in his leadership, and open to receiving love and nourishment. Someone who trusts the mystery of life and knows he has got this, no matter what.

What was your journey into this world?
Though I felt like a shell of a woman sexually, I seemed to have my life together. I had lived in a logical, structured way that got me far.
I was a trained perfectionist, a high performer, a go-getter. Following a similar path to my sister, I became a Chartered Professional Accountant. It was an incredible experience, but also deeply unfulfilling.
As I climbed the corporate ladder, I swept my pelvic pain under the rug. I often had loving and supportive partners, but I friend-zoned others to avoid confronting what I was going through. I did not want to reveal a body I believed was broken.
I felt embarrassed. When I did seek help, the limited support I received from the medical system left me feeling defeated. I was told to relax, to have a glass of wine, even before I was of legal drinking age.
I tried dilators, but without proper guidance, and after pushing through pain too many times, I gave up. The disappointment deepened the cycle I was already in.
There were moments where I completely lost hope. I questioned whether I would ever have a fulfilling romantic life, whether I would have children, whether I would always be on the outside looking in.

Then one day, during a vaginal ultrasound I was not ready for, everything shifted. I left in tears, and as I was walking out, the technician said, “It will get better after you have kids.”
Something in me ignited. I knew I had to do things differently. I realised I needed to find safety in surrender.
Vaginismus became my initiation into deeper self-awareness and sexual liberation. It ultimately led me to create a space where healing happens in community, not isolation.

What do the first 60 minutes of your day look like?
The first thing I do, while still between sleep and wakefulness, is reach for my phone to play a ten-minute Wim Hof breathwork session.
It has become a beautiful start to my day. I often recall dreams or receive insights during the breath holds. It is a time to connect with myself.
After that, I spend time with my partner. We cuddle, make breakfast together while listening to music, eat, and then move into our day.

Why do you do what you do?
I do this work because it feels like what I am here to do.
I was given a very clear challenge that led me to surrender to my path. I feel grateful for how life unfolded, even through the difficulty.
More recently, I have also begun supporting other women and entrepreneurs in turning their own experiences into purpose. This has opened up another layer of growth for me.
What is an unexpected pleasure you discovered in your work?
Witnessing the quirks and hidden parts of people when they finally feel safe enough to be themselves.

What should more people know about your work?
That it is all about safety.
And that talk therapy alone is not enough. We need to work with the body. There is so much wisdom available when we learn to listen to it.
What’s your superpower?
Helping people feel understood and loved.
One of the most meaningful things I have been told is, “I am falling in love with myself more and more, listening to you.”
People often say my voice is calming and my energy feels nourishing. I create a space free from judgement, where people feel able to share deeply, even things they have never said before.

We love vices. What’s yours?
Lingerie and lace. Chocolate. Deep conversations.
And adrenaline. Anything a little dangerous, and I am in.
