Making sure that everybody on Sensuali is real and above 18 is our top priority. It makes the experience better for everybody. We try to do this as efficiently as possible. Here’s some steps on how to verify yourself fully.
Phone
- This is the first verification stage, it happens right at the start as you sign up for your Sensuali account. Type your phone number into the box – it won’t be shared with anyone.
- You should shortly receive a text on your phone with a 5 digit verification code. Enter it into the box. If you didn’t receive a code, you can check your number and try again.
Age
- Once you’ve set up your account and you’re taken to your profile, you’ll be shown the outstanding steps needed to take to activate it. One of these will be ‘Verify You’re Above 18’.
- We use a third party system called ‘Yoti’ to verify you’re above 18. This is an age estimation process that works by a digital face scanning. It’s entirely private and means a safer way to verify yourself, without having to share any personal information.
- Place your face in the middle of the cutout frame on the screen. In a few moments your age should be verified and you’ll be taken back to your profile.
ID
- If Yoti can not confirm that you are above 18, you will be asked to prove your age with photo of your ID and a face scan, also powered by Yoti.
- Choose which country your ID was issued by. Then select which form of ID you will use. Yoti will never share your ID with third parties.
- Follow the instructions in holding the front of your ID up to the camera. If it’s easier, you can upload a photo of it (front and back).
- Follow the instructions in holding the back of your ID up to the camera.
- Wait for your document to be checked.
- If your document can’t be verified you can try again, optionally with another form of ID.
- Position yourself in front of the camera and make sure you’re in bright lighting so that you’re ready for your face scan.
- Place your face in the cutout frame on the screen.
- Once complete, you’ll be redirected to your profile. Your age verification will be pending and usually should be accepted within 5 minutes.
