SHIBARI WEEKEND
(Beginners & Intermediate)
A Shibari Course in Berlin, during which we explore the foundations of japanese rope art (shibari).
A safe container, where you can get to know how to play with rope. Dive into a world full of aliveness, deep relaxation and pleasure. Discover Shibari, the Japanese rope art.
During this Shibari weekend in Berlin you will have the chance to explore both sides of the interaction. The active role, called ‘Rigger’ and the receiving role called ‘Bottom’. Each side offers a completely different realm of experience.
What you learn on the active side
– to shape and lead an encounter
– basic friction knots and ties
– to explore your own creativity and improvisation
– the integration of thai massage bodywork into your rope sessions
– developing trust in your own abilities as a Rigger
What you learn on the ‘receiving side’
– the experience of being ‘held’ and taking care of
– deeply relaxing trance states with high release of endorphins
– how to deal with emotional and physical limitations
– working with your breath to let go into on a deeper level

What to expect:
Switching roles during class is encouraged. That way, you can explore qualities of both sides. You will learn basic technique and skills, that you need to provide a nourishing session. I prepared a healthy mix of: learning how to deal with rope while having enough room for play and deep relaxation. We will stay with clothes on. For more intense sensation, thin clothing is recommended. The number of participants is capped at a maximum of five couples. There will be enough space to repeat what you have learned and cement your knowledge. The current dates you can find here.

290€ per couple for the Shibari course in Berlin
