The underground fetish rave: Club Sodom

Part queer rave, part fetish party, part performance art, Club Sodom brings together some of Manchester’s most adventurous creative communities for a night of music, kink and unapologetic self-expression.

Launched in 2023 by Manchester queer arts collective Sodomite, Club Sodom combines underground club culture with theatre, drag, BDSM performances and sexual exploration. The femdom party: Bitches UnleaSHEd

Want a scene ruled entirely by femmes? Bitches UnleaSHEd is a femdom-focused play party where dominant women reign supreme and submissives are invited to embrace their obedient side.

These ladies mean business. At the beginning of each event, submissives take part in a slave oath, setting the tone for an evening of female domination, entertainment and fetish play. Every Thursday, Biphoria takes over two venues in Bury, starting with a relaxed daytime session at Nero’s Sauna before moving to Partners Swingers Club in the evening.

Across the venues you’ll find social spaces alongside a sauna, Jacuzzi, cruising maze, private and group rooms and an equipped dungeon. It’s all about exploring own pace, with consent, boundaries and good etiquette at the centre. Visitors have access to both venues, including the dungeon, private cabins, cruising maze, sauna, pool and Jacuzzi, with plenty of space for socialising between activities. The men-only kink party: Club Collared

Club Collared offers a welcoming space for men and male-presenting people to explore their kinks, whether they’re complete beginners or seasoned players. Taking place on the first Saturday of every month at Eagle Bar in Manchester’s Gay Village, Collared is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit event that’s been part of the city’s fetish scene since 2014.

First time attending a sex party in Manchester?

A few things are worth keeping in mind:

• Read the event rules. Some parties permit sexual activity, while others focus on fetish play, performance or socialising. Don’t assume the same rules apply everywhere.
• Check who can attend. Some venues welcome all genders and sexualities, while others have specific entry policies for couples, single visitors or members.
• Pay attention to the dress code. Fetish parties can be strict about clothing, and arriving in everyday clothes might mean being turned away.
• Consent comes first. Being at a sex party doesn’t mean anyone has agreed to sexual contact or participation. Ask before touching, respect boundaries and remember that you can change your mind at any point.
