Shibari for Beginners: An Intimate Introduction to Rope

Rope is a language before it is a technique. Long before the first tie, there is breath, presence, and trust between two bodies.

This workshop is designed for those completely new to shibari — no experience necessary, just curiosity and an openness to slowing down. In a small, intimate setting, you'll be guided through the foundations: how to hold rope, how to read a body's response, how to build the kind of attention that makes rope feel less like a skill and more like a conversation.

We'll cover:

— Basic single-column and simple chest ties, taught with safety as the foundation

— How to communicate through rope — tension, pacing, checking in

— The sensory and emotional dimension of being tied: what makes it feel meditative rather than mechanical

This is not a performance workshop. It's a space to explore rope as a sensual, embodied practice — where the aesthetic and the erotic sit naturally alongside care, consent, and technical grounding. Materials provided; comfortable clothing recommended.
