How do I find a consistent kink partner to explore my kinks with while learning about their kinks?

A man, Potomac ·

I think for a while I have been interested in trying to explore my kinks and recently tried to seek out a partner who I can explore my kinks with on a regular basis

I tried dating apps that are meant to explore kinks as well as other sites such as Fetlife but I have not had much success on either. I am a bit scared to explore my kinks IRL as well so I have mostly been trying to explore my kinks with others online

I was wondering what are good platforms to check out where people genuinely want to explore their kinks with one another

A consistent kink partner usually grows out of community, where you can meet people, see how they handle consent, and build trust before playing. That's why we host conscious BDSM events and workshops at Soul Impact Berlin, where like-minded people explore their kinks safely and without pressure. Check out what's coming up at my profile 😉

Feeld is a great app for this.

Otherwise attending to event, going to clubs, etc

I have read your question carefully. If you wish to explore your fantasies with someone, I believe it is important to approach this as a mutual exchange, which means being open to exploring their fantasies as well.

With this in mind, platforms such as FetLife can be particularly useful, and Le Marché aux Esclaves may also be worth exploring.

However, from what I understand, you are primarily looking to explore your own fantasies. In that case, I would suggest finding an experienced, caring and understanding play partner who has a thorough knowledge of BDSM practices.

The fact that she may be a professional Dominatrix should not be seen as an obstacle — quite the opposite. It could be an excellent opportunity to explore your desires within a safe, respectful and well-structured environment.

Thanks for the sincere reply. I truly appreciate it I’m just as eager and open and interested in exploring kinks of other individuals as I am to explore my own kinks with other individuals. I’m definitely not shying away from being open to exploring the kinks that other people may have With regards to Fetlife, my experience unfortunately has been less than stellar. From what I have seen it seems like people for the most part treat exploration of kinks as a transaction which is definitely frustrating and makes exploring kinks more difficult. This is especially true of the dominatrixs that are on the site I understand that these days people are trying to make money through whatever means necessary and I’m not at all trying to judge them for doing so but when did exploring each others kinks get to that point. This is something I have a hard time understanding and coming to terms with and it really doesn’t feel genuine at all It also seems like Fetlife doesn’t really seem to properly vet their users either. I could be wrong but that’s what I seem to see. Anyways these are just my thoughts.

Here in NYC, "The Eagle" has certain nights designated as "Into?" (Whatever that means...) and they used to have a topic night called "Power Play" which disappeared. Off topic I think it would be a fabulous idea to have a dance/rave "Spa" night where everyone could come in their underware and just dance~ but of course this is way too "Out there" for conversative NYC. The last time I went to "The Bath House-Flatiron" I was instructed by the "spa police" that I couldn't close my eyes in the salt pool and (God forbid) SLEEP! I informed him that I was meditating and that if there were going to enforce that "No sleeping in the salt pool" that they should put that clearly on their site. Later the cool Aussie manager "Nathan" told me I could sleep if I wanted to LOL.

How do I find a consistent kink partner to explore my kinks with while learning about theirs?

I think the first thing to recognise is that having a kink doesn't necessarily mean you're looking for anything particularly extreme or unusual.

The word kink is generally used to describe a sexual interest, preference or activity that sits outside what society traditionally considers conventional sexuality. But what is conventional anyway? One person's kink may be another person's perfectly normal expression of intimacy and pleasure.

Take sensual massage, for example. I would argue that sensual massage can itself be considered a form of kink, albeit a particularly sensual, nurturing and intimate one. For many people, the pleasure comes not simply from the physical sensations but from the anticipation, vulnerability, trust, exploration and connection between two people.

And that's really the point. A kink is often something that brings together people who share a particular interest in experiencing pleasure, intimacy or excitement in a way that resonates with them.

Finding a consistent partner to explore these interests with is therefore less about finding someone who shares every one of your kinks and more about finding someone who is open-minded, curious, respectful and genuinely interested in discovering what gives you both pleasure.

Over my 20 years working in sensuality and intimacy, I've come to appreciate just how important it is for people to feel they can express their desires without embarrassment, judgement or pressure.

This is one of the reasons I created Sensual Connect, a community of like-minded adults who share an interest in sensuality, massage, intimacy and sexual exploration.

The community operates with guidelines designed to encourage respect, discretion, consent and responsible interaction. It gives members the opportunity to get to know others, discuss their interests and potentially develop friendships, connections and ongoing relationships with people who have similar outlooks.

We also organise sensual massage events, social gatherings and opportunities to meet other members in person. These provide a more relaxed and natural environment in which to discover whether there's genuine chemistry and mutual interest, rather than immediately approaching someone with a list of sexual expectations.

My advice would be to start with friendship and conversation. Be open about what interests you, but be equally curious about what excites the other person. Establish boundaries, discuss what is and isn't comfortable, and allow trust to develop before exploring anything physically.

Importantly, a consistent kink partner doesn't have to be a romantic partner. Some of the most rewarding connections are built around shared interests, mutual respect and the freedom to explore without the expectations of a conventional relationship.

Ultimately, the best kink partner isn't necessarily someone who enjoys everything you enjoy, but someone who enjoys discovering pleasure with you, just as much as you enjoy discovering theirs.

You can find out more about our community at Sensual Connect.
