Could you introduce yourself and what you do?
I am Simone Farschi a sex and intimacy coach. I help women, men, and couples reconnect to pleasure and become confident in and out of the bedroom. I help people demystify what pleasure means to them and how to live the most radiant magnetic fulfilled life, by deconstructing and releasing shame and stigma that occurs in the body around preconceived ideas about sex and sexuality. I offer a somatic coaching style that is very effective as well as sexological bodywork, working with the pelvic floor, scar tissue remediation, pleasure activation, boundary work, trauma release, and sacred womb work.
Do you have a mission?
Yes, my mission is to elevate, support and inspire women to love their bodies and and their orgasm, to support all bodies from living in shame or denial of their full potential and to end the pleasure gap and information provided about our bodies and pleasure at a young age.
Ultimately I want to change the education system so that learning Sexual Agency and Pleasure Activism is an integrated part of what we learn about at a younger age. How to tend to our bodies and have support systems for healthy loving relationships in all forms.
What was your journey into this world?
My journey to this work has been a consistent gravitational pull to helping others get out of the muck of their minds and blocks to living in full authenticity and pleasure because that is what I went through from a very young age. I had always been shamed and sexualized for the way I looked and my curiosity and desire to love and be sensual.
I saw how women shamed each other and how competition around men and being loved was greater then the support and encouragement to be loved and accepted. I experienced a major abusive relationship that caused me to deeply reevaluate myself, what I was living for, and desire to understand how to be in a healthy relationship, how to be soft and confident as a pleasure driven women in this world.
It was really after birthing my son, that I realized that I needed to not only heal myself by could offer healing and support to other people going through the same painful situations, to show solutions to holistic ways and what I feel to be more natural ways of being a sexual women, a sexual mother, and have a healthy thriving life.
Tell us more about your somatic style.
Somatic means the use of the body. What that looks like in a coaching session, opposed to talk therapy where I would just listen and then offer solution, we are actually practicing physical exercises, so that you learn through experience how to achieve your desired goal.
The results are amazing because through the experience you have a real example of what to do and how to regulate your thoughts, emotions and body when it comes up in real life.
In the sexological bodywork that I offer, I am working hands-on, where if desired the client can be nude, I am working with the pelvic floor, the body, we move slowly and intentionally, to unwind and connect with the facia and stored memories in body- this is incredibly healing.
I work with scar tissue from tears from giving birth, sexual abuse, even moments of celebration that have not had a chance to be spoken to. This work allows me to go intra vaginally and intra anally, helping women and men to better acquaint themselves with their body, pleasure, how to have different kinds of orgasms, how to breathe, move, and communicate.
How would you describe your approach to what you do in a nutshell?
My approach to coaching is first to live the way I teach, which means I am always studying and learning new ways to improve myself and my method.
It also means not working to burn out, I see so many coaches and creators doing this and I want to be a living legacy of how to live softer and more compassionate and creating a substantial change in the way we relate to our bodies and sex and community.
Why do you like coaching?
I love coaching because I get to meet all kinds of people who are experiencing a huge challenge in their life. I get to offer them support and a non-judgment zone where they can be celebrated and grow and heal, and I just feel that is the greatest gift- not just for me to be the one to offer healing but to share tools and support that they can take into their own life and have forever.
This will help them continually understand that they are so worthy of pleasure, an amazingly healthy relationship and unwinding the trauma that has kept them suffering or stuck. I just feel so honored when I get to work with anyone ready and willing to ask for help because I know how hard that can be, especially around sex, and also how hard it is to find help that feels safe.
Are there any challenges in your work?
The main challenge is that there is so much that I am interested in helping people with that I often cant find enough time in a day to do it all! There is a huge need for more ethical practitioners and for this kind of work and education to be normalized at all ages and for all backgrounds.
Tell us all about your wonderful retreats!
My current retreats are Bodysex workshops, which I learned from Betty Dodson, who was a pioneer in the sex coaching field and you can find on, the show ‘Goop’ from Gwyneth Paltrow. Dodson teaches, from my experience, the most essential somatic and feminine practices for women to incorporate into their life.
The retreat I run is radical, amazing and highly transformational. We gather for 2 days, we are all naked which immediately helps to dissolve our projections of others as well of our own body shame.
Then we get into it. We talk about our relationship with our bodies and our orgasm. We learn our genital anatomy, we look at each other’s vulvas, we practice and learn how to tone the pelvic floor and have different kinds of orgasms, and we come back to the true nature of ourselves and the wisdom of our bodies. We learn how to set up a vaginal steam and we celebrate our womeness. It’s Epic!
Who is your typical client?
My typical clients are people that want to become more united with their bodies. They want to take action in their life- action that has been prevented from some kind of shame of repression. My client is often also women who want to learn ancient wisdom rituals to care for their womb and body.
My clients are generally women wanting to connect, be wildly free and confident in their pleasure and choices. Men who want to better understand their capacity for pleasure, intimacy, to give women more pleasure, to become more confident in themselves and their love making. And lastly, couples that want to reignite their spark again or are seeking direction in moving into an ethically non monogamous relationship.
Tell us more about vaginal steaming.
Vaginal Steaming is the practice of sitting over a pot with specific herbs and letting the steam penetrate your vagina, while being wrapped in a cloth that keeps the steam in kind of like a tent over the pot and your lower body.
This practice has been used for centuries and is good for so many reasons, from helping eliminate period cramps, increasing fertility, postpartum care, healing cysts and fibroids, emotionally and spiritually. I came across this practice when I hosted my first online retreat at the beginning of the pandemic.
A teacher led one of the classes and it was revolutionary for me. I was first upset, because it felt like really accessible and basic way of vaginal health care that no one ever told me about. I used to suffer from terrible period cramps, and finding out this now, I wanted to share it with every women I met. I only keep finding out more things that vaginal steaming can help with. Its also such a special and beautiful experience to do it with a group of women, which is what we do at my retreats.
What should more people know about coaching?
That it exists!
Sex and intimacy coaching is just another part of holistic healthcare, like eating healthy foods, working out, sleeping etc. Working with a sex coach is only going to improve your overall life.
There is so much to learn and many ways to grow, so if you have never had an orgasm before or you are a pleasure expert it is still worth exploring .
