Tell us more and yourself and what you do…🦹‍♀️

A

I’m Dakota, a tough-love relationship coach and sexuality educator helping clients manifest and maintain their #relationshipgoals.

I help people move through relationship anxiety, trust issues, and disconnection using my CARE Model—Clarity, Agreements, Reassurance, and Eroticism to ensure they are co-creating monogamous relationships that are truly fulfilling.

My work blends trauma-informed tools with real talk to help folks communicate their needs, reclaim their pleasure, and build secure, turned on relationships that actually feel good. From boundaries to blowjobs, I teach it all—with depth, honesty, and zero fluff.

What was your journey into this world?

A

I began teaching sexuality education in 2017 through an internship at the college I attended, Rutgers University-Newark. I would travel around the city of Newark with a bag of sex toys and arts in the crafts in the other.

From there I went on to teach middle school health classes but eventually decided to leave education being the system was stifling.

I officially launched Get Real With Dakota March of 2023 and haven’t looked back since.

Why do you do what you do?

I do what I do because I needed what I provide growing up.

This work doesn’t end with me and I know I’m not the only one who wants to have a better relationship to relationships.

Love and connection is one of the most beautiful parts of life and if I can give someone at least one tool or technique to infuse into their life to develop a more positive relationship to their sexuality, I’m pleased.

What do the first 60 minutes of your day look like?

A

As soon as I wake up, I drink a tall glass of water, open Spotify and play With Us by SSTEDI on my way to the bathroom to do my morning skincare routine.

I feed my cats shortly after to avoid their aggressive meowing then sit my little butt at my make up vanity to get myself ready for the day.

What is an unexpected pleasure you discovered in your work?

An unexpected pleasure I discovered in my work is how arousing it is to see people connect and truly care for one another. Seeing people in love is sexy.

What’s your superpower?

A

My superpower is my vulnerability.

Isobel Clark

We love vices. What’s yours?

A

Anything sweet.

What should more people know about your work?

A

My work is grounded in the balance of facing tough truths and being met with compassion.

Tough love carried a bit too much “tough” growing up and I realized the tough part shouldn’t come from cruelty. The tough part should come from looking at our shadows and facing them head on.

With a lot of love, compassion, and patience, I’m able to help my coaching clients and workshop attendees alike to experience more fulfilling sex and relationships.
