A sudden summer chill and the fresh rain falling over the city made me quicken my pace as I walked towards Linda’s peaceful sanctuary, a place I had been quietly longing to discover for weeks, carrying with me not only curiosity but also a body that felt tired and a mind that had forgotten how to slow down.
I spend so much of my life giving, organising, creating events, holding space, taking care of people, answering messages, solving problems and dreaming up new ideas. I love it deeply, but sometimes I forget that my own body also longs to simply receive, to be listened to without having to explain itself and to rest without feeling the need to earn it.
When I booked a tantra massage with Linda in Berlin, I was longing for a pause: a few precious hours where I didn’t have to perform, produce or please anyone, where nobody expected anything from me and I could simply exist. What unfolded over the following hours turned out to be far more profound than I could ever have imagined.
Entering a different world
From the moment Linda welcomed me into her studio, something softened inside of me. She invited me to sit down over a beautiful flower tea and gently asked how I was feeling, what my intentions were and what my body might need that day. I found myself sharing things I hadn’t expected to say out loud, simply because I felt completely safe with her. Her curiosity felt like genuine care and I felt so safe to be fully authentic and vulnerable with her.
The room itself felt like entering another reality. Warm lighting, calming music, little treats prepared with love and a peaceful atmosphere immediately made me feel cherished and welcomed.
Linda told me that she never prepares a session in advance and never follows a script, but rather listens to the person in front of her and lets the body reveal what wants to happen in that very moment.
Looking back, I feel that the depth and magic of her work comes precisely from this philosophy.
The art of slowing down
One of the first things that struck me was how incredibly slow everything was. In our everyday lives we rush from one task to another, yet Linda seemed to inhabit a completely different relationship with time.
After guiding me through a beautiful meditation and inviting me to arrive fully inside myself, she began with grounding touch and deep breathing, allowing my nervous system to settle long before my mind understood what was happening.
She took time to remove my lungi and let it float on my skin inviting goosebumps and teasing sensations to flow. Then, a warm oil flowed across my skin while her caring hands moved with extraordinary presence and time dissolved. There was no destination to reach, no expectation placed upon my body and no pressure to react in any particular way. I could simply breathe and allow myself to be carried by sensation.
When bodies speak without words
It was so beautiful to witness how deeply two bodies can communicate without language. There were moments when I felt that touch carried more information than conversation ever could. I never had the impression that Linda was trying to create an experience or provoke a reaction. Instead, I felt she was listening continuously with her hands, her breath and her whole presence, while my own body answered in ways that my thinking mind could never have organised.
At one point she rested her own body against mine and I became aware of how much can be transmitted through simple human closeness.
It felt effortless, almost ancient, as though our bodies already knew a language that our minds have long forgotten.
It reminded me that intimacy is not always about words, goals or sexuality. Sometimes it is simply about allowing ourselves to be witnessed exactly as we are.
So often we imagine pleasure as something to chase. We look for intensity, climax or some extraordinary peak experience that will finally satisfy us. Yet lying there, I found myself discovering something infinitely subtler.
A different kind of intimacy
One of the moments that moved me most came when Linda simply rested her hand on my vulva with a firm, grounding presence. There was nothing to achieve and nothing to provoke. She stayed there with complete stillness, and I could feel the warmth of her hand somehow echoing through my whole body, as though the contact travelled far beyond the place where we physically met.
And there was something deeply healing in allowing those waves to move through me without trying to control or transform them into something else. Their subtlety felt perfect as it was; it did not need to grow or be any different. It felt diffused throughout my whole body and I just allowed myself to feel and appreciate the present sensations.
The energy was simply allowed to circulate, expand and transform into warmth, softness, creativity and presence. It made me realise that intimacy and sexuality are not always about reaching an endpoint. They can simply exist as beautiful currents flowing through us, nourishing us without asking for resolution.
Later, she invited me to gently welcome her finger inside, allowing my own body to lead the movement rather than imposing anything upon it. The pleasure unfolded like the waves of the Mediterranean Sea: soft, rhythmic and endlessly fascinating in their subtlety.
I found myself no longer wishing for a giant wave to crash, but simply delighting in each one as it arrived, dissolved and returned again.
For perhaps the first time, I wasn’t longing for a bigger wave or a dramatic ending; I was discovering that subtlety can be profoundly fulfilling when we truly allow ourselves to feel it.
Receiving such devoted care from another woman also brought a profound feeling of safety.
What moved me most was not any particular technique but the quality of Linda’s attention. I truly felt that she was listening to every breath, every subtle movement and every emotion that wanted to emerge, creating a space where nothing needed to be fixed and everything was welcome.
After the massage, Linda invited me to spend some time alone before we shared tea together in silence. Even then, words felt almost unnecessary. There was already so much communication that had happened beyond language.

What I took away from the experience
Walking home through Berlin that evening, I realised that the greatest gift Linda had offered me wasn’t pleasure itself but permission: permission to slow down, permission to trust another human being enough to soften, permission to let myself be witnessed without masks and permission to remember that my body possesses a wisdom my endlessly busy mind too often forgets.
Even today, what stays with me most is not a particular touch or sensation, but the memory of having been listened to so deeply that my body could finally stop trying to achieve anything at all. In a world that constantly asks us to produce, perform and prove ourselves, that simple permission to receive felt like one of the greatest luxuries imaginable.
