Meet Sep, shibari artist, photographer, and one half of RopeArt Netherlands, where he leads workshops and private sessions alongside his rope partner, Bun.
Based in the Netherlands, Sep is a shibari artist and photographer who blends the beauty of rope bondage with photography, video and bodywork.
Together with his rope partner Bun, he runs RopeArt.nl, offering intimate workshops, one-to-one sessions and the chance to experience shibari in a safe and deeply connective way.
With a background in sports massage and anatomy, he brings a unique sensitivity to his practice, combining technical skill with creativity and a strong emphasis on consent.
Whether through tying, photography or beginner-friendly tantra massage, Rope Art invites people to explore sensuality, connection and self-expression.
Can you describe yourself in 3 words?
Positive, creative, social
Tell us more and yourself and what you do…🦹♀️
Besides my normal work as co-owner (together with my wife) of a sports studio, I am also a professional photographer and videographer, sports masseur and recently podcast creator.
For several years I have also become active (as a rigger ) in the beautiful world of Shibari, where I often combine the art of tying with photo and video work.
Together with my rope partner Bun, we founded ropeart.nl and provide various workshops, as well as private sessions for the maximum experience.
I’m currently also searching within the Tantra massage space to see if I can find my place in it. With my background as a sports masseur and the anatomical knowledge that goes with it, I’m certainly interested.

What services do you provide on Sensuali?
Shibari workshops and sessions, (erotic and artistic) nude photography, if needed combined with video. Also beginners step-in Tantra massage. I’m also open to recordings of sensual podcasts.
What turns you on?
The connection the you can make with the people you meet. And, of course, the thrill when you’ve made a wonderful shibari tying and you notice that person is completely absorbed in it.

What do the first 60 minutes of your day look like?
Nothing special. Get up, read the latest news and start the day full of fresh energy. Every day offers new opportunities.
Why do you do what you do?
I have been extremely fortunate to be able to turn all my hobbies and interests into my work. Even though that makes my schedule a little busy at times, I feel fortunate to be in that position.

I discovered the pleasure of the often unexpected connection you make with your client. Everyone has their story.
What should more people know about your work?
If you like Shibari, for example, and or beautiful nude photography, I can provide you with wonderful images as a reference for your personal experience. I think that really adds value.

What’s your superpower?
That I am socially sensitive and communicative and can listen well to the wishes someone has.
My hope is that everyone is open to other people’s sensuality. Too often prejudice is based on nothing. Live your own (sex) life. As long as it is by mutual consent, you should enjoy that which drives you.
