Alice Jackson is a board-certified somatic intimacy coach and sensual yoga teacher with over a decade of experience helping women reconnect with their bodies, desire and pleasure. In this interview she shares her journey into somatic work, her approach to erotic energy and body trust, and why she believes no woman's libido is a dead end.
Alice Jackson has spent more than a decade helping women come back to their bodies. A board-certified somatic intimacy coach, sensual yoga teacher, Reiki Master and trauma-informed breathwork facilitator based in Catalunya, she works with women who feel cut off from their desire, their pleasure, or themselves.
Her route into this work was shaped by her own experience — a four-year fertility journey, a significant relationship ending in her early thirties, and years of hearing the same thing from women in circles and retreats: disconnection, disappointment, a sense of being stuck in their bodies and intimate lives.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Kind, Curious, Playful

Tell us more about yourself and what you do…
I’m Alice, originally from the UK and living in beautiful Catalunya for the past 9 years – the sun, sea and mountains enticed me here! Happiest whilst surfing, dancing and being immersed in nature with my loved ones.
I’m a mother to an incredible little boy after a gruelling four year journey to conceive him which brought me to my knees many times.
For the past decade I’ve been teaching sensual yoga, meditation and mindfulness in London and Barcelona.
I now combine my embodiment work with helping high-achieving women who feel disconnected from their bodies come back into a place of trust, nourishment and pleasure with online 1:1 somatic intimacy coaching.
My coaching supports women who want deeply fulfilling intimate lives and relationships by expanding their access to pleasure, presence and trusting their authentic wants.
What services do you offer on Sensuali?
Somatic Intimacy Coaching, Sensual Yoga, Breathwork.

What turns you on?
Long, slow kisses. Being naked in the sunshine. Outdoor sex and the anticipation of it. Exhibitionism. Dirty talk – yum!
What was your journey into this world?
Since a young age I’ve been amazed at how much pleasure the body can experience.
When I began teaching yoga my style started to shift towards more sensual, slinky movements which women naturally resonated with.
As my work started to shift towards women’s circles and retreats I kept hearing similar stories of women feeling disconnected or disappointed in their bodies, relationships and intimacy.
I experienced a huge awakening myself aged 31 when I ended a long-term relationship that was sucking my life force energy. It was during this breakup that I realised how creatively and sexually blocked I had been.
I started to piece the bits back together and found so much inspiration in tantra, dance and living life on my terms. This made me realise how much sensuality, sexuality, creativity and vitality are intertwined. As I nourished myself I became magnetic and met my now husband at an electronic music party.
I knew I wanted to work in the field of somatic sexology and it took me a really long time to find the right course. I was looking for something with high levels of integrity, backed by neuroscience and layered with spirituality that felt embodied and authentic. When I found my course with the Institute of Relational Harmony and spoke with my teachers, Katie and Phoebe, I knew I’d finally found the one.

What do the first 60 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings are slow, no alarms which I love but occasionally a screaming toddler haha. Mostly I wake up to smiles and kisses from my little one.
After a while of snuggling we roll out of bed, make breakfast – coffee or an Early Grey tea and toast for me then I breastfeed him whilst meditating in the sunshine.
Why do you do what you do?
Because women’s bodies and pleasure have been under patriarchal control for too damn long.
I see my work as a reclamation of women’s power. A woman who is tapped into her intuition, eros and lives an embodied life is really hard to fuck with!
I also appreciate how much of a ripple effect this work can have on people. The more we can heal our relationship to our bodies and sex lives the more we can support others into healthier versions of themselves.
I’ve had times in my life where I had zero libido and thought ‘is this it?’, spoiler – it wasn’t it! I just needed to know how to reconnect with my eros and vitality. Now I’m here to show women that their eros is never a dead end and it can be revived, no matter at what stage of life they are!

Reawaken the woman underneath the role & live a pleasure-filled, embodied life
What is an unexpected pleasure you discovered in your work?
Just how life-changing this work can be for people. I can often take for granted the practises that I have become accustomed to, such as screaming into a pillow to release rage or putting on a sexy song to feel sensual.
When I share one of these practises with a woman who has been feeling stuck or struggling and it feels revolutionary for them I see how impactful this work is.
What should more people know about your work?
How when you work on your erotic energy it benefits every area of your life. You begin to show up to life differently when you feel grounded, relaxed and erotically vibrant – it’s incredibly exciting!

What’s your superpower?
Being able to withstand really devastating medical diagnoses and still thrive! When I was in my ttc journey I had to deal with blow after blow that affected how I saw myself as a woman. I heard some of the most devastating news a woman can hear when she wants to be a mother but I was able to rise again.
We love vices. What’s yours?
CHOCOLATE – my absolute number 1 vice in the world – preferably dark with a dash of salt.
Who are your sensual inspirations?
Mother nature and all her abundance – especially all the beautiful flowers she bestows on us and how she teaches us about the cycles of gestation, birth, life, death, decay on repeat.
Music. I love artists such as Yaima, Amanati, Black Coffee, Akua Naru and Tinashe.
Dancers/choreographers such as Parris Goebel, JoJo Gomez and Yannis Marshall.

Closing thoughts? Anything else to add?
This was so much fun, I loved these questions! This is why I love this work because just by you asking me about my turn ons I feel more turned on!
