I'm Melanie, a somatic sex educator and sexological bodyworker. I work from my home in North London (N11) and online on Zoom.

For a long time I believed a slowly fading sex life was simply what happened in long relationships. I compromised, went quiet about what I wanted, and got very good at overriding my own body. Then an email arrived advertising a tantra weekend, and I went. Something woke up that weekend that had been asleep for years. That was more than ten years ago, and I have been training in tantra ever since. In 2021 I qualified as a Certified Sexological Bodyworker, and I have since left a 25-year career in IT to do this work.

What I learnt in my own body is what I teach now. Most of the work starts with something simple and surprisingly hard: noticing what your body actually wants, finding its felt yes and no, and learning to ask from there. When you can say no and mean it, yes becomes a real choice, and that is often where trust and pleasure start to grow.

I work with women, men and couples of any orientation, gender identity and relationship shape. People come to me for all sorts of reasons. Desire that has gone quiet. Pain, numbness or shame. The changes of perimenopause and menopause. Performance pressure. A relationship that has drifted. Or plain curiosity about tantra and what else might be possible. Sessions are client-led and move at the pace you set. Nothing happens by default. It happens because you asked for it.

I also offer tantric massage, which is a separate practice with its own conversation beforehand, and I run a monthly women's circle and an online course on desire and boundaries.

I'm bisexual and polyamorous myself, and kink aware, so there is no need to explain or translate your life to me.
