Erotic Photo Shoot and Portfolio
Erotic Photography
For the past 25 years, I have been an erotic photographer. What initially started as a diversion from my normal career as a sculptor, installation, and performance artist turned into an all-consuming passion. I was browsing in a bookstore and came upon the Taschen book, Early Erotic Photography, which contained nude photographs from the 1800s. I had always dabbled in photography and collected old photographs and postcards. I loved the images in the book and was so taken with the models. Back in the 1800s, the women who posed for nude photography were generally the same women who posed for artists in general: common women, prostitutes, washerwomen. Though not great beauties, the subjects of these photographs presented themselves with such confidence, directness, sure of their allure. I decided to get myself an old-fashioned sheet film camera, put up a set in my studio, hire a model, and take some pictures. At first, my desire was simply to create some beautiful images. My initial pictures were so wonderful, and I enjoyed myself so much, that I decided overnight to become an Erotic photographer.
At that time, artists were just beginning to use the internet to put up portfolios of their work. I quickly put together a website to show my photographs and soon people were contacting me from all over the world, looking to pose for me. As we worked, we talked and inevitably the subject of our discussions was about beauty, desirability, sexuality, their erotic lives, their insecurities, body issues, and shame. One after the other expressed how liberating and empowering it was to pose, to see themselves through my artistic lens. As I explained it then, my aim was to photograph my subjects with the eye of a lover, showing them as their most beautiful selves. I soon was offered a book deal with a major European publisher and in 2005 they released “Erotic Flashback”, containing more than 300 of my images.
Since then, I have won many international awards, exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide, appearing in books and magazines.
Nowadays, everyone has a camera in their pocket and can take pictures on a daily basis. However, nothing compares to having your beauty immortalized in a portfolio of fine art images created by a proven artist. Whether your aim is a softcore boudoir shoot or something more hardcore, I can arrange a session
