Rather than following one fixed style, boudoir can be soft, bold, artistic or playful, depending on the photographer and your intention. It’s less about fitting a look and more about capturing how you want to be seen.
Preparation usually starts with a conversation. Your photographer will discuss boundaries, comfort levels, styling ideas and what you’re hoping to create. Some people prepare by choosing outfits or props that feel meaningful, while others focus more on rest and mindset. You don’t need to know how to pose. Most photographers guide you gently throughout the shoot.
A couples shoot focuses on connection rather than performance. It might involve moments of closeness, touch, laughter or stillness, captured in a way that feels natural to you both. These sessions are usually paced slowly, with clear communication, and shaped around what feels comfortable and authentic for the relationship.
No. Boudoir photography does not have to involve nudity. Some shoots are fully clothed, while others may include partial or full nudity, depending on what you choose. This is always discussed in advance, and you remain in control of what is shown, how it’s framed and what feels right for you.

The photographer I have experimented with different styles in the past to see what got my blood pumping extra fast. Just a few months after starting as a model photographer I was introduced to the world of boudoir by a fellow photographer. This world was not unknown to me, but I had not given it a try myself before. I discovered how much fun it is to be able to photograph people in a stylish yet sensual / kinky way. The world has so many forms of beauty and sexiness. My aim is to photograph a model/client in such a way that they are proud of who they are, in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. In addition to boudoir photography, I make work that I categorize as edgy sexy. Kink and fetish is part of that edgy sexy style. My photography can be an expression of my own fantasies or those of the model/client I work with. Open for bookings. My studio is located in Ophemert, the Netherlands. The stories I write have a diversity of topics, but they fall under one and the same denominator. I am inspired by things I see, read, hear or have experienced myself.
