My name is Martijn (he/him). I'm a certified trauma aware kink friendly Somatic Sex Educator, certified Intimacy Coach and certified Sexological bodyworker. I also teach Japanese inspired rope bondage and facilitate groups and events around intimacy, touch and sexuality.
Arriving into this work from a mindfulness background with the Plum Village tradition. Followed by tantra and explorations in the world of Shibari.

As a general rule; no. But I make exceptions when bondage can be helpful in a therapeutic context. For instance when the learning goal of a session is to work with surrender, discomfort or power dynamics.
No. It's a common misconception that Shibari is sexual in nature. It is not. For the most part it is a sensual experience and does inspire the erotic. But for me, especially in the context of sessions, there are no sexual acts af any kind.
