This kind of exploration has the potential to transform us in ways we might not expect, and this course will prepare you to do this ethically and authentically. THE COURSE: This is a live, online course delivered via Zoom.This course is the outcome of two decades on my own journey around this, from people pleaser to Professional Dominant, AND from working with hundreds of people as they consciously explore kink. I believe we ALL have the capability to step into Dominance in a way that is authentic. If you don't feel that you fit into the box of a stereotypical Dom or Dominatrix, don't let that hold you back (I don't fit into that box either!) The world needs more people who can wield power responsibly in their own unique way.My style of Dominance draws upon what’s already within me - you might like to think of these as traits, archetypes, or parts. The aim is to support you in becoming a whole, integrated human rather than simply teaching the “technical skills” of kink. Intro to Shibari - rope retreat
Are you interested in learning more about Shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage? Perhaps you've seen some photos, videos, or even live performances and it's caught your eye, or maybe you're looking for a new hobby that has some interesting practical applications... Come and join our introductory workshop and give it a go! This is a one-day workshop taking place on alongside The Rope Immersion at our gorgeous rope day retreat. Participants for both events will be together for core parts of the day, but will break away for workshops that are aimed at different experience levels - this event being for beginners, and The Rope Immersion for people with knowledge of the basics. We will all get to enjoy a day of rope in a beautiful location, and plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills and mingle with fellow rope fans.This beginner-level workshop will address the most pressing questions, such as:Why do people like being tied up?!How do we bind our partners or ourselves in a risk-aware way? How do we tie knots that don’t fall apart?Once we’ve established safety and core skills, we’ll start building on them by tying in a more free-flowing way, and looking at how we can approach Shibari in different ways depending on the reasons why we are tying.Our aim is to create ties that feel good from inside and outside of the bondage. What to expect:We will include a mixture of learning through discussion, theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.This workshop is designed for beginners and people relatively new to rope. You're equally welcome if you've never explored rope bondage before, OR if you've dabbled a bit and want to bring together what you've been learning in a more structured way.You don't need a partner to attend. Some of the workshop activities are more easily done in pairs, but a significant portion of the exercises can be done solo through self-tying. The Rope Immersion
We are back for our third Rope Immersion! Escape with us to a stunning location at the foot of the Peak District for an extra special day retreat for rope fans. You can join educational workshops, watch performances, enjoy some free time to practice or explore the grounds, and get your (rope-related!) questions answered. Our photographer TiedForThirst will be on hand should you wish to have some gorgeous photos to take away of your ropey creations. This is a one-day event taking place alongside the Intro to Shibari workshop. Workshop 2: Tree Rope Trees are elegant and strong - perfect for binding our partners to. We will briefly discuss tree selection, and then show how borrowed rope techniques can create stable and flexible ‘hardpoints’ to bind our partners to.We will then introduce several ideas for how to position our partners for mutual enjoyment.Orrrrr… (if it’s too damp/cold for tree rope or there are too many grizzly bears outside!), we will instead have an indoor Sadistic Rope Lab We will pitch a wealth of ideas at you, showing different ways that you can explore cruelty in the realms of shibari. From fast and brutal to long, drawn out slow burns we will show you how to explore cruelty with your partner.Workshop 3: Teacups and teppuosThe rifle tie is an iconic Shibari technique which resembles a stick slung across the model's back. We will explore this traditional tie as well as our own less strenuous variations: the teacup tie. Across the day you will learn:• The History and Purpose of different ties - Learn about unique ties, their origins, and why they are great for creating striking and functional rope work.• Safety First - Pick up key safety tips, learn how to avoid (unintentional) discomfort or injury, and how to communicate effectively with your partner.• Step-by-Step Tying Techniques - We will break down each process so you can confidently build a strong and secure tie.• Exploring Movement and Support - Try different positions and learn how body placement can affect balance and comfort.• Trust and Connection - Good rope work is about more than just technique so we'll be emphasising the importance of communication and trust building to create a positive experience for both you and your partner.• Troubleshooting and Adjustments - Learn how to fix common mistakes, make adjustments on the fly, and ensure everything stays safe and sustainable.Prerequisites and considerations:This event is designed for people with at least a basic level of tying experience . You are welcome to join all of the things in the schedule, but you are not required to! We actively encourage you to choose how you would like to participate - which can include taking additional breaks or observing during hands-on practice time. Intermediate Shibari online course
Ready to enhance your existing Shibari skills and build more elaborate ties? Join Christian Red and his co-teachers in The Kinky Classroom for this fully online course, delivered across 4 weekly sessions. What to expect:Live, online classes each week featuring discussion and theory, demonstrations and walk-throughs, time to practice, and the opportunity to have your questions answered. This course is designed for people who have already completed The Kinky Classroom's Intro to Shibari or Shibari for Beginners courses (online or in-person) or equivalent classes covering the fundamentals, including rope safety. To get the most out of this class, we recommend you are comfortable tying a single-column tie, double-column tie, and x-frictions.This course can be taken by a tying pair, or can be self-tied.All live classes will be hosted on Zoom and will also be recorded, allowing you to watch them back if you can't attend live or wish to revisit the content. Recordings will remain available for a period of 3 months from the date of recording. Ticketholders will also have access to a private Discord server, where you'll find links to live classes and recordings, weekly optional skill-building tests, and a digital quick reference guide that breaks down the rope skills covered during the classes, as well as opportunities to chat with other course participants (if you like!) and share photos of your practice ties for feedback. Ticketholders will receive the invitation link to Discord in their confirmation email.You are not required to have your camera on during the class, but we encourage you to do so if you would like to receive feedback on your ties and, well, it's just kinda nice to see some of your faces too! We welcome adults of all genders, sexualities, and relationship orientations.The schedule:Week 1: Double-layered structures (Tuesday 3rd November)We will bulk up our ties, making structures like the futomomo and chest harness more sturdy and less stretchy. We will explore different methods of expanding the thickness of our ties.Week 2: The inline single-column tie (Tuesday 10th November)The inline single column tie (or hojo cuff), is a way of creating a secondary cuff after you’ve made a single column tie. This will allow you to tie feet together, arms behind the back in various different shapes, and a version of the demon tie.Week 3: Hip ties (Tuesday 17th November)This week we’ll show different methods of tying the hips: ways of binding with lots of handles, or hinging the hips forward.Week 4: Crossing diamond ties (Tuesday 24th November)Diamonds make for beautiful patterns but they also allow you to create ties that shape to the body and are super stable.Each class will run from 7 - 9 pm (UK time). What to wear and bring:Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. If you plan to have your camera on, please wear underwear at least. All participants should know how to check for signs of nerve damage.
