Cris + Tony are the husband-and-wife duo behind Awakened Amara, an Austin-based Tantra community devoted to intimacy, embodied pleasure, and the transformative power of human connection.

Through experiential workshops and curated events, they help individuals and couples deepen communication, explore boundaries and desires, and expand their capacity for authentic connection and pleasure.

Their work weaves Tantra, sacred sexuality, embodiment, relational alchemy, and playful exploration to create spaces where people can experience what becomes possible when we feel safe enough to be fully expressed.

My qualifications

6–10 years of experience

Tony and Cristina have been immersed in the fields of conscious intimacy, embodiment, Tantra, and relational exploration for approximately seven years. Their education includes a range of formal trainings and immersive experiences, from yoga teacher training to programs with the International School of Temple Arts (ISTA), alongside continued study in embodiment, conscious relating, sexuality, consent, and personal development.

At the heart of their work, however, is lived experience. Much of what they share has been learned through what they lovingly call “the school of life”—years of intentionally exploring relationship, intimacy, communication, desire, boundaries, vulnerability, and personal transformation within their own lives and partnership.

Their approach brings these two paths together: the frameworks and practices gained through formal training, and the wisdom that can only come from living the work. Rather than teaching from theory alone, Tony and Cristina facilitate from a place of personal practice, ongoing curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s autonomy and individual journey.
