Spider Bight Shibari Social @ Open Labs
Join me every other Wednesday at Medicine Walls’ Open Lab co-working hours (5-9PM) for rotating sensory activations!
This Week I’ll be hosting Spider Bight, A Shibari Social welcoming all levels of rope enthusiasts to explore both the sensory, artistic, & ritualistic facets of rope!
It’s Spooky SZN, so let step into our spider personas and become master web weavers. We’ll work together to drill our nodome/Munter hitch frictions making this an ideal workshop for beginners to familiarize themselves and intermediate to advance riggers to build their muscle memory. This skill drill is perfect for self-tying folx to sharpen their proprioceptive skills as we regularly need to construct without seeing!
A limited supply of rope and some chairs will be provided to tie with/on. BYORope & homie/prey to bottom if you have em but don’t forget your water, comfy clothes and good vibes!
Feel free to bring other projects or work to the Open Lab hours as well! There are tools for screen printing, sewing, stretching, & more on site.
Medicine Walls is located in Bushwick 1/2 a block from the Jefferson L train.
